Circularity investee presented with King’s Award for Enterprise

Circularity Capital portfolio company Advanced Clothing Solutions (ACS), the UK's leading circular fashion enabler, has been announced as one of the first ever recipients of the King’s Awards for Enterprise.

Recognised as part of the Sustainable Development category, the prestigious accolade celebrates the company’s pioneering ambition to act as a key driver in the shift from linear to circular fashion.

Previously known as the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, the new name continues the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II by recognising the inspiring successes of UK businesses. During the programme’s 57-year tenure, just 7,000 organisations have been successful in their submission, making it undeniably Britain’s most prestigious business award.

Operating from its state-of-the-art 200,000 sq. ft automated facility, ACS works with many of Europe’s top brands and major retailers to deliver a comprehensive rental, subscription and resale fulfilment service, enabling the industry’s shift towards access over ownership.

The company manages the entire fulfilment process; from environmentally-friendly cleaning and brand authentication, to garment repair, ironing, photography, packaging and even delivery. Customers include Moss Bros, Slaters Menswear, Monsoon and LK Bennett, as well as technology partners CaaStle, eBay, Zoa, Reflaunt and Hardly Ever Worn It.

ACS’ operations enable more than six million garments to be kept in circulation every year. This is proving a key driver in accelerating the fashion industry’s transition towards a circular economy that extends the life of existing textiles and diverts clothing from landfill.

In 2022, ACS received an investment of £10m from Circularity Capital to support the company’s continued European expansion. This has proven a pivotal moment in accelerating its goal of helping more fashion businesses to embrace rental, subscription and resale models.
